Identification and travel documents
It is always important to bring your identification and travel documents with you when you travel. Make sure you have your passport, driver's license or ID card with you and that it is still valid.
Money and credit cards
Remember to carry enough cash and/or a credit card to pay for lodging and any other expenses. There is plenty to do in Gorinchem. For example, we have nice restaurants and terraces. You don't want to miss that experience!
Clothing and shoes
You probably won't forget this, but we'll mention it anyway. Bring clothes and shoes appropriate for the occasion and season! In the rooms we have air conditioners and heaters, with which you can take care of the right temperature. Outside, unfortunately, we have no control over the weather. So please check in advance the weather forecast in Gorinchem.
Toiletries
It is helpful to bring toiletries such as toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, perfume, razor, shaving cream, hair products, skin care products and makeup cleaner. We offer our own shampoo, shower gel, shoe shine, a vanity kit, hand soap and a bathing cap. You will find these products in your room upon arrival.
Medication
If you take medication, make sure you have it with you. It is also sometimes wise to separate and subdivide your medication between luggage. This is wise in case something gets lost during the trip to us.
Electronics
Bring your phone, charger, laptop and other necessary electronics to make your stay as comfortable as possible. At Hotel Gold and Silver, we offer free Wi-Fi, so you can easily work and/or stay connected with people at another location.
Shopping
Although we do not have a dinner restaurant at Hotel Gold and Silver, we do have a fully equipped kitchen in most rooms. This also includes a full-size refrigerator with a freezer compartment. So you can choose to prepare your own dinner in the room. There are two supermarkets in downtown Gorinchem: the Spar and the Coop. By the way, there are also several options for eating out. The refrigerator in our rooms can also be handy to keep snacks and drinks for on the go. Another tip: we do have a breakfast restaurant, with delicious fresh products every day. Feel free to come and enjoy a bite to eat with us in the morning!
Swimwear
If you are staying with us during the summer months, you may want to bring your swimwear for a refreshing dip in the river Merwede. Within walking distance there is a beach.
Books and magazines
Finally, if you like to read, bring your favorite book or magazines to relax during your stay with us. That way you can unwind after work or entertain yourself in the evening after a day of exploring Gorinchem.

- Please inform the hotel about any special requests or requirements.
- Before arrival, consider whether you would like to take advantage of our breakfast and if so, what time you would like to have breakfast. This is because we ask this of our guests upon arrival.
- Is your arrival time earlier than the check-in time? Bring your luggage to us in advance. That way you can enjoy Gorinchem on the first day.
- During check-in, ask for recommendations on local attractions, restaurants and activities. We are familiar with the area and are happy to help you get the most out of your stay.
- Keep your room neat and tidy. This makes for a pleasant stay and makes it easier for the cleaning staff to clean and maintain your room during your stay. For example, if the sink is full of different jars and bottles, we cannot clean it properly for you.
- Be sure to check out on time. We need the time to get our rooms back up and ready for the arrival of the next guest. Not a morning person? Then book a late check-out late check-out!
