Gorinchem has been declared the most beautiful fortified town of the Netherlands. The hotel is situated in a lively shopping street in Gorinchem within the historical city centre, which is surrounded by an old fortress wall dating from the beginning of the 17th century. The Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie in Gorinchem is part of the UNESCO World Heritage. Gorinchem has an authentic and special character due to the many preserved elements from the previous centuries.
The old town is compact and easy to walk from the Goud & Zilver Hotel and offers many activities. For example, you can follow a cultural route past galleries, antique shops and studios. You can also take a walk along the city walls, visit a museum or go shopping. In the city, you can enjoy the terraces and eat out in one of the nearby restaurants.
