Jazz festival in Gorinchem
Jazz lovers from Gorinchem, region and country can get ready for a weekend full of jazz sounds during this 44th edition of the Gorcum Jazz Festival. For this three-day festival, a varied program is made with many upcoming Jazz talents - Gorcum Got Jazztalent. Moreover, all Jazz activities are free of charge. Hippiefestival
Hippies of all ages are welcome in Gorinchem from 1 to 3 July to enjoy music, workshops and hippie vans at the free Gorcums Hippiefestival. Inspired by the festivals of the sixties and seventies, local bands and musicians perform fantastic songs by, among others, The Who, Tom Petty, Santana, The Kinks and Crosby, Stills & Nash. The musicians can be heard on the grounds of Buiten de Waterpoort, along the river Merwede. During the day, access to the festival is free. Waterpoort Festival Gorinchem
Rock, blues and pop: you can hear it all during the fourth edition of the Waterpoortfestival in Gorinchem. At this festival, there is a different music genre every day. On Friday, the festival will kick off with the Rock Battle Final, where regional talent will get a chance. The Waterpoort Festival will be held from 13 to 16 May. Open Port Day
The Open Port Day is an annual party in the spring, around the Lingehaven and the Buiten de Waterpoort area. It is a day out for the whole family, with live music, food and drinks in the heart of Gorinchem. In the city centre, several stages are set up for 't Eghte Muziekfestijn and in the harbour, the annual Dragon Boat Race will take place. The Open Port Day is also a wonderful moment for the students of the Merewade College to show their art projects to the general public during the special open-air exhibition.
